Meet Alex Bueno (CJ) 
Why do you think the world has been so fascinated with the legend of Nessie?
Like with any mythical creature, the fascination with Nessie is whether or not it exists. I think the “maybe” it exists factor is much more intriguing than actually knowing.
What is it like to work on a world premiere musical?
It’s so exciting, especially working so close with the writers. You are actually a part of the creation process. Any choice you make might just stick forever and that’s incredible.
What mysteries or legends captivate your imagination?
I’ve always wondered about the spirit world. Where we go after we die. I like to think we hang around a bit, or come back to visit the living and watch over them. It’s weird but I often feel as though I have a guardian spirit watching over me. It makes me feel safe and not alone.
I think the biggest challenge for me was the music. Since this show has never been done before, there isn’t a cast recording to listen to. Luckily, my cast is always there to help, no matter what. I tend to sing in the key of……me…….flat usually.
How do you prepare to work on a project like this?
You just have to be completely open and willing to play. Everything is possible, no holding back. That’s the fun of the show. There is no right or wrong. You just have to be willing to hop on for the ride of your life.
What excites you about this story and why should people come see it?
This story is for an audience of all ages. It’s got humor, drama, singing, dancing, fear, and it takes you on an emotional roller-coaster but leaves you with so much hope and happiness. It’ll bring out the kid in you.
